How many people would you need to move, physically, to guarantee both a heavily, uncontestable blue map in 2024, and victory for some number of actual progressives in key places? I wonder how this compares to the number of reliably left voting workers who are currently fully remote and might be willing to go live someplace otherwise undesirable to them for long enough to be registered voters in nov 2024? Or even 2022; it doesn't even appear to me that the required length of time is that long, most places? One would need a physical address, mail, actual residency. I love where I live and it would suck to be isolated from my family for a while and have to travel a distance to see them, but if this was something that was feasible based on math and had organized momentum behind it, I personally would go rent some cheap place with internet access for as long as needed, gently caress it. Does anyone have a clue what the numbers look like and if this is a pipe dream or something that's possible?

Way too many, plus you would be fighting against blood red governments who would do everything they could to disenfranchise you. Plus what's the point if all you get is another Manchin? It would be far easier for Democrats to actually do their job and pass what they promised and have a political platform that actually gives a poo poo about the country but that's verboten Red states hate dems because the democratic party literally only cares maybe about two or three cities within the entire nation and has thrown the entire rest of it to the wolves Feldegast42 has issued a correction as of 17:39 on Nov 1, 2021 |

Another thing that came up last time this was discussed is that the numbers of voters is smaller than the numbers of eligible voters, and a bunch of carpet baggers moving to Fargo to swing an election would motivate at least some of them to go vote again Also somebody recently said carpetbagger is a racial slur but I can’t remember if it was Twitter or d&d

lol quote:Al Riutort, 80, from Newport News, said he still favors Biden, but has had a hard time pointing out to friends and neighbors the significant things the president has done, other than not being Trump. quote:“We’ve got these two wild card senators who, you know, are trying to be more moderate, and who are blocking a lot of this progressive change that many, many, many Americans want. That’s actually very, very popular with the majority of Americans,” White said. “And that is frustrating to me, you know, I don’t get this idea that progress can be held back by a minority of people. And them not finding a way forward, that part of it is very frustrating for me.” love to see random vox pops saying things that wouldn't be out of place itt

The only political realities I see right now are my rent is going up, my food is more expensive, I can't do anything in public without rolling the dice on a disease that can destroy your brain, and the only thing either political party can do right now is make my life worse and throttle anything that could make it better Lmao if you're voting tomorrow

Libertarians v bears https://newrepublic.com/article/159662/libertarian-walks-into-bear-book-review-free-town-project quote:Caught up in “pitched battles over who was living free, but free in the right way,” the libertarians descended into accusing one another of statism, leaving individuals and groups to do the best (or worst) they could. Some kept feeding the bears, some built traps, others holed up in their homes, and still others went everywhere toting increasingly larger-caliber handguns. After one particularly vicious attack, a shadowy posse formed and shot more than a dozen bears in their dens.

The voters obviously want a new alternative. Something fresh. A third party that's somewhere between the two extremes. A party with a mix of democratic and republican policies.
