Help me with my modern fox and hen dilemma. I got a really nice piece of beef from woolworths of all places and I want to reverse sear it with some wedges. The wedges cook at like 225 and the steak at 125! Which do I do first?

Beef first and chips while it's resting. Can always flash the beef afterwards to bring back to temp.

Rough as hell, the whole procedure would hurt and my teeth and jaws would ache for days afterwards. Now I go to a great dentist who cares about my wellbeing, is very gentle and prescribes valium so the whole procedure is just a vague blur. Could not be happier. Finding a good dentist literally changed my life. fake edit: goddamn covid has turned my brain to mush. I can barely type and I'm making a million incredibly basic spelling errors. real edit: after doing a totally scientific "spray Glen20 in the dunny test" it seems my sense of smell has dropped considerably. Looking forward to eating raw lemons tomorrow if it goes completely. At least I'll get something fun out of this. Megillah Gorilla fucked around with this message at 08:07 on May 3, 2024 |

Get the cheapest home-brand square hamburger patties, cheese slices and pasta sheets. Layer them in a pan and bake, then work out the cost per square centimetre. No idea why I wanted to do this. Probably as an afront to god.

Dentist chat, I had the same dentist from the age of 5 up until I was about 35 and then he retired. Lovely, calm guy who was super gentle and never shamed me for not flossing anywhere near as much as I should have been. I was really sad when I had to find another dentist. Thanks Dr Chow, wherever you are!

On university camps we used to buy dozens of the cheapest black&gold frozen pizzas, then garnish with fresh pepperoni, olives to taste, and two types of cheese to make them not so miserable. They came out surprisingly well.

Bald Stalin posted:Do salaried workers in Australia get overtime? Short answer is yes but you can legally be expected to do 2 hours a week occasionally unpaid but that isn't really expected in most reasonable contracts Long answer is hospitality has abused the idea of "reasonable overtime" that fair work specifically had to make a ruling about how more than 2 hours a week needs to specifically be paid out as cash so I'm absolutely going to be fighting with my bosses boss over this BC the contract has a "reasonable overtime" of 12 hours lmao Anyway it also is very clear that terms that contradict fair work rulings are void and unenforceable so yeah but I doubt I'm going to be able to find more than 38 hours a week unless my boss goes on holiday I already am staying back late to make up my hours for this week cause it's backdated
