I just got kong last night and i need a little help. I want to try a janky idea with prime beast boy from btu who grants animals the teen titans keyword. Does anyone know of a good pay off for that? So far i've looked at deathstroke from btu to give kong assassin to work with figures with the target.

I don't know if it's a *good* payoff, but the first thing that comes to mind is that you could then have Kong solving Mystery Cards for the Titans. Advancing enough on Stakeout to give him Stealth would be hilarious.

So I am debating going to a major silver age event about an hour from my house. I'm running a team that I thought was just funny and am looking for feedback.

Here is what I have so far

K.E.V.I.N. (Yes I got lucky from a chase booster)
XTAS Nimrod
Master Mold at 25
Tri-Sentinel x 2 at 30
Scott Porter (Black Shirt) 25
Either XOS Karima or DOOM (3 armed robot chase)

My sideline is gonna be
Search for Ammut's Tomb
Murder in the City Enduring (If I play Karima)
Absorbing Man
Doom Sorcerer Supreme and DJ Doom (If I run DOOM)

Tarot Deck of
The High Priestess (Once per turn, each player may reroll a d6 in a friendly character's roll (including a single d6 in an attack roll)
8 of Cups (When a character uses Willpower, increase the result of the roll by +1.)
3 of Pentacles (When a character uses Phasing/Teleport and moves 5 squares or less, after resolutions they may make an attack.)
3 of Swords (When a character uses Pulse Wave, they deal 2 damage instead of 1.)
Queen of Wands (When a character rolls for an effect using a single d6, increase the result of the roll by +1.)

My strategy is thus. Abuse this is the story Kevin Wants to Re-roll Nimrod's "No you actually punched yourself" trait while also pinging opposing players with Ammut's tomb and the Tri-Sentinels. Try to poo poo out Nimrod Prime with Master Mold if I can.

Any thoughts?

Lots of previews coming out of the H4H event this weekend. Deadpool has basically been spoiled. Any thoughts on the set?

This set is basically perfectly timed with Deadpool 3 is my first thought.

I really like wolverinepool from the SR's. His gimmick is unreliable as hell but funny.

Everyone's Playing!

I like that they gave Tiamat a Legacy card, although I'm sad my unicorn Deadpool didn't get one. I like the Exiles love.

Gone, gone, O honky man,
And rise the M.C. Etrigan!

Did they seriously make figures with their own special dice? That's just begging for the player to lose the die or Wizkids to not put it in the booster in the first place.

That’s already happened. The Scott Porter preview brick had a longshot with no die

Some teeth long for ripping, gleaming wet from black dog gums. So you keep your eyes closed at the end. You don't want to see such a mouth up close. before the bite, before its oblivion in the goring of your soft parts, the speckled lips will curl back in a whinny of excitement. You just know it.

At least each figure has all the faces of their die printed on their card, so in that resort you can roll a regular d6 and just replace what you roll with the appropriate result.

Just found out about the Knightfall Iconix. That Azbats figure is exactly what I’ve always wanted. Going to have to hunt these down.

I got to play a game for the first time in a bit yesterday. It was 400 points, make something creative and if the judge liked it you'll get a special bonus.

I am the judge, when I left for the event 2 people were signed up so I just tossed My Peacemaker Wings of Eagly stuff and a Murn in my bag thinking maybe I could do a fun game after the event. When I got there we ended up having a bunch of last minute so I got 2 half games in and 1 full game.

Murn is kinda crazy strong if you guy's haven't used him yet. I usually had him in the back of my main attackers just for his aura of no increases for you. I never did get to pull off his trick of unblocking LOF but that would have just been icing on the cake.

Harcourt is a godsend for Squad teams, she gives stupid mobility. Eagly is also dumb and fun, especially if you can KO bystanders so he can heal friendlies.

Figured I'd post this here for fellow judges.

If you didn't see, wizkids sponsored a mega sealed event in texas not too long ago. Supplying amazing prizes for the event including over 60 Green Sword Constructs. Some of the facebook postings mentioned emailing them if you wanted to do an event.

I figured gently caress it why not? I messaged them and it turns out wizkids is looking to do a slew of small scale 20-30 person events across the country this summer. I think this is great, and a cool way to give people who can't afford to go to cons a chance to nab them. My little store is in consideration and might get to run one of these events.

You guys should reach out!

This week, a player with a birthday requested that I run my 'make a legacy card for a figure on your team' event once again.

For me, I picked Uncle Sam, and got very political with it. I gave him a trait where he could take a power action to give random Punisher's War Van weapons to anyone on the map, and then if they were opposing, Mind Control them regardless of range or line of fire. Generally, it worked out about as well as the US selling weapons to insurgent groups usually goes, but I did have one good use where I sold a Surveillance Device to chase Earth-2 Superman, who paid me back by flat-out murdering Saint Walker. Selling weapons to Mordor went about as well as one would expect, but the utterly comic-accurate and political-accurate highlight had to be selling a Sniper Rifle to Deathstroke, getting nothing in return, and then Deathstroke immediately using that Rifle to crit hit Uncle Sam from 10 squares away.

The highlight of the tournament happened in someone else's game. Earth-2 Superman managed to defeat the dark lord Sauron, but that meant that Superman claimed the One Ring, and each turn both players rolled off to see who would control Superman. Superman briefly fell to darkness and slaughtered Green Lantern, but then recovered long enough to fly to Mount Doom (a chosen square in the opponent's starting area) and cast the Ring into the fire. It sounded like a blast.
