The standoff between R0ZEG0LD and the Remediator grows fiercer by the second. One of the Rig's whip-like arms squeezes tight around the forcefield whilst incessant blows from the other rain upon it, the machine's punitive viewer retention algorithms leaving not even a second of downtime for the leering camdrones if they didn't wish to miss the hit that would finally shatter the brave D-breaker's futile resistance.

To her credit, she does not yield an inch despite her obvious disadvantage. Her expression changes, yes, from a defiant smirk, to a frown, to a pained scowl, but her efforts do not cease. Each and every blow from her foe is dutifully shunted... not quite Between, but upon the veil separating [Here] from [There].

With each blow, a new crack appears. Wrong angles manifest. Bits of spacetime demarcate from their neighborhood like the shards of a shattered mirror.

Ever since her horiffic conversion long ago in the Year of the Snap-Back Bracelet, the Wrecker named Jennywine Cellardoor had never had much problem giving unwanted pursuers and jilted lovers the slip. This ruddy-necked pink punk teenager sticking hot on her trail, however, had managed to follow Jennywine all the way from her Personal Respawn Crate's opening site at the Strato-Cradle and onward...

"What'chu want, kid?" Jenny barked back at the ProTeen after doing a lot of pretending that she hadn't spotted him already. "I'm tryna run it solo-like, with all them lone sums - - besides, it's too dangerous, running with a Wrecker like me..."

The ProTeen was silent, sullen, and ready to scoff. Despite all the camdrones about which had been actively recording the scene, the young mutated churl of a person was also recording their interactions with Jennywine on their own personal dvice.

A parasitic malingerer hanging around the YEETcorp multi-clock display poked their fedora-capped head out from a pile of refuse, to witness another wasting of time.

Jennywine squinted at the greasy green-skinned man in the brimmed hat and trenchcoat.

"Izzat yer dad?" She stage whispered to the curious teen, halfway hoping someone had come to collect their charge.

The proteen side-eyed the dubious creeper and sneered in raw, disgusted refusal. It was time to go!

"Buzzin' off we be - a'ight!" Jennywine declared, and she broke into another bout of scootling with a *hup* and a mild frown on her face.

How was she going to find time to care for such needy children? Consterned instincts caused a worrying furrow to form in the lizard-lady's brow.
