I know of multiple schools that offer "order in lunch on Friday for a treat" deals (totally seperate to any free lunch programme) and several of those are for sushi. Literally hundreds of kids a pop ordering sushi by choice.

Turns out the budgeted amount sufficient to feed one child was based on preschoolers, not teen-agers, and on top of that teachers are expected to assemble sandwiches. I imagine that the teachers union might have something to say about that.
