~ UPDATE ~ ---------EVENT!--------- Night of the Living Dead - Turn 1/3 The Necromancer has gathered his strength and sent forth upon the world his undead minions! Players at the tavern may choose to defeat Zombies in order to prevent Townsfolk deaths!
Town Population: 195 Note: Companion deaths are included with the Town Population. Zombie HP: 5 Damage Range: 1-11 Special: On a roll on the die between 1-5, succeed in a DC 11 check or one of your Companions becomes a Zombie ---------Tavern-------- Gilligan: "Betty, am I hearing what I think I'm hearing?" Betty: "Oh, sorry, I think Stabdee knocked out all of Cliff's teeth. He's been trying to talk his way into a free blessing from the good Friar." Gilligan: "Is it really Thursday already? Never mind. No, I'm talking about the faint screams?" Betty: "Huh, now that you mention it..." She goes over to an open window and peers out into the evening air. Suddenly, she pulls her head in and slams the window's shutters. Betty: "loving hell...Paula! Snailina! Get your asses down here and get us shut up good and tight!" Gilligan: "What is it Betty?" Betty: "It's a goddamn mob of zombies is what it is! But they're - I don't know - organized? I've never seen something like this before! Close everything boys and girls! Make sure if you let someone in, that they're not bit!" Gilligan: "Don't barricade the front door! We're still open for business!" Betty: "What, really?" Gilligan, a hungry gleam in his eyes: "The only priest in fifty miles is snoozing in our tavern - we're everyone's last resort now. They'll need food and drink." Betty: "There's something seriously wrong with you, you know." *** Marcel, in the kitchen: "Mes Amis, I will not admit defeat! We will serve fine dining, in a timely manner, if it means our fingers are scoured to the bone! When I say Demi-glace, you say Quoi?" The line cooks yell out "How Much!?" Marcel, in the kitchen: "Ah, c'est bon! It is like zee chorus des Anges!" Stabdee gains a Skill by Brawling - "Take 10" Stabdee gains a host of hired hands! I would recommend this Strawberry Radler. Oh, or perhaps a lovely Blonde Ale, infused with vanilla and clove?" The Geezer gains 3 (Goblin?) Companions by Flirting! Mr. Popular over here! Betty, picking up teeth: "Man, Cliff just got those fixed..." The Geezer gains multiple Skills by Brawling - "Muscle Memory", "Escape Hole" *** --------Questing-------- Lug Thunkhard - The Aviary Aggressions - Completed!- 1 Monster Defeated Lug took the blow meant for his party member, finishing the Hobgoblin himself, and as they applauded his...bravery...they departed from the dungeon, flush with treasure and...victory. Yes, the flush was from victory. On the party's way back, Lug noticed some folk shambling in from the countryside that he hadn't seen in some time! They came over to congratulate him and were positively crowding him and his ladies, who were in a hurry to get back to the Tavern, obviously to spend their hard earned spoils. Funny, Guy met them all the same, and didn't seem to mind the pestering of the folk who came in from the wilds. They got their payment just like always. Saikrit Baus - Tomegarden of Arkay - 76/110 - 1 Monster Defeated! Saikrits bony companions continued to clack and twich and grunt through the dungeon without much getting in their way. Most of the traps were ancient, dusty, and poorly maintained, and Saikrit had little trouble directing his troops past them. It was certainly looking like they might achieve the end of this dungeon sooner than later! Mr. Tower - Dougie's Old Treehouse - 8/110 Mr. Tower's fifteen senses stretch to their breaking point as they strive to catch wind of where the Giant Ant will emerge. Mr. Tower must roll to Dodge or suffer a Death Penalty! DC 9 Check. (Free Action) Giant Ant HP: 7/11 Damage Range: 1-7 Special: The first time your roll on the die is a 10 or above, the Giant Ant Burrows to dodge the damage! DC 9 Check to spot it next turn, otherwise take 1 Death Penalty!

"So, who wants know the story of how I got mixed up with Ms. Stabdee over there? It's quite the tale." After the rest expressed curiosity, the Warrior cleared his throat, obviously happy to have an audience, and began. "You see, when I left home, I left as a 'venturer. My pa and ma had adventures, and their pas and mas too. I knew adventuring was in my bones! And so I got into 'ventures with some pals.." The Warrior let out a wistful sigh, and continued. "Anyhow, I met Ms. Stabdee one day on a monster hunt. She had the same dagger you see her holdin' to this day and was quiet-like. Now I beat up monsters like a proper 'venturer, but her with that dagger.. So much blood, aye. And the screaming, I can still hear it. And then she turned on me with that look in her eye and went, "Hey, want to be in an adventuring party? You do, I know it." And that was that, here I am now. Still here." Stabdee stopped drawing her dagger as she suddenly saw the whole party and the hired hands staring at her disapprovingly. She heaved a great big sigh and let go of it, starting to think. This dungeon was truly insidious. "Ol' Stabdee's Heart's Desire, you ask? Hmm." A question like that evoked some thoughts, that's for sure. What did a violent, impulse-driven adventurer like her want? Then the answer came to her suddenly, making her cackle. "A heart of gold! Pure gold, at that. [00C Coins][4>3 Goblins][0 Bruises/0>1 Injury][1x Monster Stomped] Honestly the Geezer felt a little bad about that one. Sure they were murderous, horribly toxic centipedes, but c'mon they're just lil guys. Oh well. Geezer+Crew came here to freeload off the hard, dedicated labor of others, and by god that's what they would do. [Action1]Explore the Tomegarden of Akay: 1d20+4 5 aaand Geezer takes one on the chin. [101>106][+Injury] It wasn't entirely clear if the goblins appreciated the Geezer suddenly diving in front to take a hit. [Action2]Explore the Tomegarden of Akay: 1d20+4 5 orokos is out for blood. tactical goblin, go! [106>111][4>3 Goblins] one of the other goblins however, was not so lucky. But the dungeon was done and dusted. hooray? Does Geezer Find a Boss?: 1d20 3 Well. I guess? Geezer certainly felt eyes on them as they (and the surviving goblins) took their share of the haul. ...But in the end, nothing popped out. Lootin the Dungeon of Akay: 10+2d6+3d6+2d6 35 10+2d6+3d6+2d6 ------ 10 base +2d6 base +3d6 (3 Companions) +2d6 (1 Monster) ------ Not a bad haul. Not bad at all. ... There wasn't much to say on the way back. But with an actual chunk of change, well. Things were going to get very interesting for the crew. M'thinks Saikrit Baus also gets some tasty loot on their way out.
