You're already dead
It went from being the Ultimate Lifeform to a Newtype Gundam.

There's a time and place to apply critical thinking to whatever media you're consuming.

Daniel Dollis diving out of a helicopter , bursting into flames, managing to toss an ammo clip several hundred feet and then bellyflopping into the ocean is not one of them.

So, a few additional bits and bobs.

Firstly, while talking to Wayne on Day 6 lets you engrave a weapon and a piece of armour to carry over in NG+, he'll also engrave Your equipment if you exceed 100 points in each of the 3 stats (Power, Range, and Ammo capacity for guns, Physical Defence, Parasite Energy Defense/energy reserve, and Critical hit defence for armour), which is easily done in NG+ by farming enemies in the Bonus Dungeon for BP, which can be used to boost stats at a ratio of 100 BP for every +1.

Secondly, while Daniel proves himself the Ultimate badass, one has to give extra credit both to his aim in the throw, as well as Aya managing to *catch* the two magazines, swap to the customized pistol made for them, and load in about 2 seconds.

Thirdly, how Aya takes out the Ultimate being; With her being aboard what looks to be a Ticonderoga-class Missile cruiser, as most of the final battle is on the ship's helipad, it would be nearly impossible for her to overload the engines as shown in the game. That's because the actual cruisers use gas-injected turbines instead of traditional steam boilers, which are far more stable, and are less likely to blow out most of the midsection of the hull upon a catastrophic failure.

Fourth, Aya's eye surgery is notable because the cornea was on ice for two years; Aya was Five when Maya died in the car accident that also killed the twins' mother, in 1977.

I have an invasion to go to.
I have finished the grind.

I hope Speedball and I can do the final boss this evening, and that means that you guys should have the EX video this weekend. There's still a bit of editing I will have to do to merge all the various videos together.

Can we just take a moment to admire the sheer adamantium-plated balls Daniel has to pull that move? Holy poo poo.

Guys, find a woman who looks at you the way GhostStalker looks at every bald, obese, single 58 year old accountant from Tulsa who managed to win $4,000 by not wagering on a Final Jeopardy triple stumper.

No, the police are real. We have a member of the NYPD in this sub forum! I invited them to commentate, but they declined as they don't have the setup for it.
Hi yes, this is me; currently posting from my desk at NYPD Payroll on the 10th Floor of One Police Plaza while I should be working. And no, I’m technically not a cop, just a civilian employee of the NYPD (there are 20,000 of us last I checked, if you include the uniformed non cops like School Safety, Traffic Enforcement, and Police Communication Techs (aka 911 operators and Central Dispatch)); my work ID doesn’t grant me the right to possess firearms outright like the uniformed ones do.

I have never played this game and don’t actually have a recording setup available, so I’m not actually sure what kind of commentary I could have added to this LP, and have been rather busy anyway to keep up with it. I guess you can ask me about police procedure and I can attempt to answer some questions?

Aya only having 6 months on the force at the beginning of the game is implausible, because training at the Police Academy (now located in Flushing, Queens having moved there in the mid 2010s from its former location in Midtown near Grammercy Park and Union Square) takes 6 months in and of itself. And yes, rookies tend to get assigned to Patrol almost immediately (the usual first assignment for rookies who start a Police Academy class in July is to work Times Square during the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop). 2 years is more plausible, she’d be finishing up her probationary period as a PO at that time, and just starting to get assigned Investigative Track time instead of Patrol, which are needed to make the jump to Detective 3rd Grade. Of course, she could just get designated a Detective Specialist at the discretion of the Police Commissioner if she truly was as much of a rising star as she’s claimed to be.

She's been at the 17th Precinct for 6 months, but she could have joined the NYPD when she was 18 or 19, giving her 5-7 years to make the grade as I read things. Is that more reasonable?
