Yeah not buying this line of reasoning. Bad does not mean black, and the opposite of meritocracy is not diversity. The lack of meritocracy here is blatant disregard of human life to save costs, not diversity hires. Not letting the boing boing bung fuckers have this one. The line of reasoning is that before woke and PC and so forth, people were hired for their merits instead of their diversity, but now people get hired because of their skin colour or gender and so forth. This is of course complete idiocy, because bosses prefer hiring people they don't subconsciously (or consciously) see as inferior, which means that the straight white men keep hiring straight white men because they think straight white men are better than everyone else.

When it fully died back I dug down around the still-alive roots about 18 in deep and cut them off there. Then I put Copper (II) Sulfate on the roots to poison them and buried a brick over top of each root stalk. The next year I dug the bricks out and replaced that chunk of soil to remove the chemicals as best I could. I’m unbelievably jealous. My next door neighbor’s yard is overrun with the stuff so I don’t think even this nuclear option is available to me because they don’t do anything about theirs
